HPMC CORPORATE OFFICE, SHIMLA
ID Designs was assigned to provide the interior design solutions for HPMC corporate office in Nigam Vihar which had not been updated in years of its commissioning.
It was a daunting task as the building was old and the floor sytem was all wooden with only RCC columns and beam frame, to make any changes in the wall partitions we had to strengthen the flooring system.

Salient features of the project:

The partition systems were all wooden and made on site.

The small wooden windows in the cabins were changed to much bigger and cost effective UPVC windows to get better sunlight and the views from the cabins. They also create much quieter cabins.

The access to the office was limited to 2 entries which had multiple entries earlier.

The old dingy office space was changed to much brighter and connected office space.
